National Park de Meinweg

Boshotel Vlodrop is located in the heart of De Meinweg National Park. This 1,600-hectare national park consists of forests, heathland, fens, and streams. The diverse landscape of the area has resulted in a wide variety of plants and animals, including wild boar, adders, and sand lizards. Over thousands of years, three faults in the subsoil have created four terraces. From the bottom of the Roer River to the top of the plateau, a height difference of over 50 meters has developed. You'll certainly notice this occasionally, especially on a long walk or bike ride.
